Ten clubs, two afternoons a week.

Every Mbale High student must belong to at least one club. Clubs meet Tuesday and Thursday from 16:30 to 18:00, under the supervision of a patron teacher.

British Parliamentary style debates, with Friday inter house contests once a term. Members prepare motions on current affairs, science, and ethics.

Practicals, science fair preparation, and visits to Busitema University labs. Members run the annual Science Open Day each November.

Edit and publish The Mbale High Herald, the school termly newspaper. Members rotate through reporting, editing, photography, and layout.

Civic education and Uganda history. Members lead the flag raising ceremony at every Monday assembly.
