Music, Dance and Drama (MDD) is a proud tradition at Mbale High. We participate in the National Schools Festival each year, and our Term 2 inter house music festivals are the highlight of the social calendar.
A sixty-voice cross-denominational choir. Rehearses classic choral arrangements, local folk anthems, and modern African gospel. Leads hymns at weekly chapel and major assemblies.
Traditional instruments including Bugisu's own Kadodi drums, Embaire (xylophones), and Endingidi (one-string fiddles). Focuses on preservation of eastern Ugandan cultural performance.
Original playwriting, sketch-writing, and standard classic texts. Members present a full production twice a year in the main assembly hall and compete in national festivals.
